These artisan mezcal copitas are made from natural, local clays that have been gathered by hand in Santa Maria Atzompa, Oaxaca, Mexico famous for their barro negro (aka black clay)

The earthy, pewter tone of these mezcal cups is achieved by the technique in which the pieces are fired, what’s known as burning the clay. Each piece is finished with a light interior glaze, while the exterior remains unglazed to highlight the natural colors and textures of the clay. No two pieces are the same.

Beautifully handmade, each clay cup will vary slightly in size, color and shape. Each one holds around 1 ounce and measures approximately 1.25” inches tall with a diameter of 1.25”
